The Genres i am most interested in are Comedy and Horror. I like films individually and also when they are combined. I personally enjoy being happy and have a good sense of humor so Comedy affects me when im sad and it restores my happiness. The characters used within comedy are either complicated, clumsy or exaggerated. This gives us the key significations of what genre it is straight away. Another thing i like about comedy is that it could be divided into sub-genres according to the source of humor such as black comedy(horror), character comedy(stereotypes), prop comedy, dead plan comedy, etc. Comedy is an open genre and it targets a large number of people.
Horror targets a smaller number of people(such as me). "Horror films deal with the viewer's nightmares, hidden worst fears, revulsion and terror of the unknown." This is all make it exciting because this genre goes beyond the audiences expectation. It involves surprises and a negative vibe for a change which will keep memory in peoples head. Bizarrely i would then want to watch another since i enjoy being shocked and thrilled. I think it is a successful genre because it delivers a lot to its target audience in making them unprepared for what they are about to watch.
