The main thing which i learnt in media was to be able to blog. We were expected to blog regularly as part of this course it was consider essential because it partially determined our grade. This was like a weekly diary where we kept up to date with work and as a group we learned new things regarding the topics we were focusing on.
Our blog has recorded our tasks and recorded our group's journey from beginning to end.
During the heath and safety tutorial, we were taught how to use the JVC GY-HM100 digital camera, how to put the battery in and out, how important the memory card is and how to set out the tripod firmly. Mikey, who specially came to teach us made sure that as a group we all understood the use of the camera and it's equipment.
We learnt how to use the NDF Filter button which took away natural day light, how to zoom in and out using the camera.
AUTO FOCUS: This is when the object or person closer to the camera automatically becomes blurred.
MANUAL FOCUS: This is when you yourself make something blurred or clear using the camera.
We were also taught how to use FINAL CUT PRO which was a professional software which we used to edit our film. We used creative effects such as TRANSITIONS, CROSS DISSOLVES, FADE IN and FADE OUTS. Before using it we were given a lesson or two on how to use the program which made us aware of the options/tool,etc.
Although i believe my group could have made most of it by using more effects as possible, it still turned out interesting to watch.
We didnt get taught how to used LIVE TYPE but we managed to get a grasp of understanding it ourselves and made good use of it. We successfully did our credits which had a BLOODY and AMAZING effect in relation to our opening/film.
