Our Final Thriller Idea - Majeda

As a group, we have decided to go with the idea of an mental patient who escapes from an asylum and has an twisted desire to murder a chosen family. Obviously, this would be shown throughout a whole film but as we are only filming the opening of the film, we can show flashback scenes that gives us hints of the idea of the film. This would mean that we would need to use a traditional film opening. In terms of intertexuality, we are thinking of using the shower curtain scene from The Stepfather when someone gets murdered. The flashbacks that are shown would be of the mental hospital, childhood problems. This would set the location of the thriller. Overall, we would need to take long shots and close ups and over the shoulder shots. The title of the thriller is Insanity highlighting that there is an insane charater or situation involved in this thriller.
