We had previous editing experience before when we were editing the opening of Arlington Road, so it was not that difficult for us when it came to editing our prelim. We had to rearrange the clips and specifically for the dialogue, we had to make sure the right clips were used. This took us quite some time as it was a dialogue and we wanted to get each characters point of view angle so when its shown on the big screen, the audience can view from a different point of view. Lastly, we added some effects and some transitions to make it come out the way we wanted it to come out. It was not until the editing process when we had come to realise that we did not incorporate the 180 Degree Rule successfully. Although it was too late to reshoot the prelim, we research the 180 degree rule in greater detail and make sure we do it successfully for our thriller that we will shoot soon. Below is a screenshot of us editing the prelim using Final Cut.
